As we welcome the Lunar New Year and step into 2026, we’re entering a season rooted in renewal, reflection, and intentional beginnings. Hi — it’s Orly, one half of the Zahavi & Schwartz mother-daughter duo. We’re using this space to share more about the work we do, what we’re building, and how style can become a meaningful part of everyday life.
Lunar New Year is about clearing space, honoring what has been, and setting purposeful intentions for what’s ahead. One of the core themes we explore with our clients is authenticity — trusting your instincts and allowing your internal narrative to guide how you show up in the world.
This year, our intention is to invite more people into the practice of intentional dressing.
Clothing serves two purposes:
- The practical: warmth, protection, societal function.
- The expressive: a powerful tool to communicate identity, values, and emotion.
At Zahavi & Schwartz, we believe your inner world and outer presentation should feel aligned. When what you wear reflects who you are (or who you’re becoming), confidence follows naturally.
2026: Your Year of Intentional Dressing
From Merriam-Webster, intention means: “What one intends to accomplish or attain.”
Below are a few ways you can start off dressing with intention:

May this be the year you align and get intentional with your personal style and shopping habits.
Here are Orly’s personal shopping intentions (check back quarterly to see how she’s doing)
- Committing to sharing how I style obscure fashion references only shopping in my own closet (or my moms if she’ll let me)
- Q1 NO BUY for clothing and shoes – I am not allowed to purchase anything that is not a replacement that can’t be mended or repaired in these categories for the first 4 months (if successful will decide if I want to continue quarterly)
- Reconnect with my joy for getting dressed – over the years my mental health has greatly impacted how I show up here and in the everyday and I lost a spark and joy for getting dressed up everyday, going for a more uniform dressing relying on my outfit equations to maintain my personal style and shopping excessively to cover up emotional responses to real world problems. So this year is about me sharing my intentional dressing journey to reconnect with my joy for getting dressed. (follow along on IG or TT or both)
Thank you for joining us and let us know what you think and what your 2026 style intentions are!
Bringing personal style to your front step,
Orly & Zahava
